MUSIC IN BIODANZA | Open School Weekend
11–13 September 2026
Railway Barracks, Goulburn
We are thrilled to welcome Monse Mayol — musician, psychologist, Biodanza Didact, and founder of the Southern Cross Biodanza School — for a weekend immersed in the power of music to move our souls.
In Biodanza, music is far more than accompaniment. Organic music is a neurobiological agent of change, where auditory perception, emotion, and integrative movement converge to awaken profound experiences of vitality, creativity, affectivity, and transcendence.
Throughout this immersive weekend, we will explore the essential role of music in Biodanza through:
Theoretical sessions
Biodanza vivencias
Musical exploration and integration
Shared learning within a vibrant community
About Your Facilitator
Monse Mayol is a Chilean psychologist, registered counsellor in Aotearoa New Zealand, flautist, Certified Biodanza SRT Didacta, and facilitator.
Since 2012, she has been sharing Biodanza across Chile, New Zealand, and Australia, weaving together her love for psychology, music, movement, and authentic human connection. Her journey has included facilitating Clinical Biodanza in mental health settings and continuing her training in specialised areas including Gerontology, Biodanza for Children, Organisational Biodanza, and Biodanza & the Four Elements. Today, she is passionate about sharing Biodanza not only through facilitation, but also through the training of future facilitators.
Growing up in Latin America has deeply shaped the way Monse facilitates. She brings warmth, playfulness, and heartfelt presence, believing that joy is not something superficial—it is one of the ways we reconnect with life.
As a flautist, music has always been at the centre of her world. For Monse, music is not simply something we listen to; it is something we embody. Together with movement and community, it gently invites us to soften, connect, and remember the vitality that already lives within us.
