7 May – Canberra
Open up your year by trying something new. Do you love dancing and want to meet new people?
Moving and connecting with ourselves and community is so important for our wellbeing.
Biodanza offers you a space for movement, expression, dance and community connection.
You don’t need to be a dancer to do Biodanza, just willing to try something new.
“Biodanza is about learning to dance with life and rediscovering the pleasure of living.”
Biodanza awakens your “joie de vivre” – passion for life! It’s a fusion of movement and music that uplifts your mood and leaves you with a sense of connection to the bigger “dance of life”.
As social creatures that have evolved to move and connect for our wellbeing. Biodanza offers you a space for this – there is movement, dancing and connection with yourself and other people.
It’s about dancing your way to more well-being – no dance experience needed. Just come as you are and let the music move you!
What to Expect?
An uplifting dance to great music, and some tea & chats afterwards. A great way to start the rhythm of the new year.

Who Are We?
We’re Kate & Claudio, avid Biodanza lovers and dancers. We have been practicing Biodanza in Brazil, South Africa and Australia for many years. We run Biodanza groups and workshops and are always delighted to meet new people on the dance floor!
As humans we need to move to re-set our nervous systems after stress. Biodanza offers you space to move through the stresses of the day and reconnect.
It helps you to remember you are more than what goes on in your head! This is nourishing and supportive to your vitality. It can also boost your mood and help you connect to a deeper sense of contentment and joy in life.
“Dance is an expression that belongs to everyone, as a possibility say with the body everything that the word cannot express.” Elodie – Biodanza facilitator from Belgium

“Have you ever danced until you flew? Danced so hard, so fast, so freely that you reach a level of overwhelming, ecstatic joy? If you haven’t you should – it can change your life.”
“I’m feeling wonderfully relaxed and uplifted… I feel good and strangely optimistic about everything”
“Can two and a half hours really make a difference to how you feel about your body? My experience is it can. … I sashayed over to my car, a big grin inside and out, feeling as if I had shifted and shaken loose something critical and controlling within. I realised how seldom I listen to my body’s wisdom and how often I override its needs and pleasures. If I am to learn to truly love myself, what better place to start than with my body?”
