Its a pleasure to invite you to the opening and open weekend of the first weekend of the Biodanza Southern Cross School here in Australia.
This is an open weekend and everyone is welcome to join. It’s a moment of celebration and honouring the past, opening doors and beginning to write new stories and chapters.
We will dance, share stories and ideas and get to enjoy learning and dancing with Nenel Dias from Brazil, a guest didactic facilitator with many years of experience with Biodanza and lots of stories to share!
We will look into the origins, inspirations and stories of the emergence of Biodanza and you will also be invited to look into your own story of life and what’s emerging for you.
This is an opportunity for an enriching weekend of Biodanza for anyone who enjoys Biodanza and what it brings you.
For Biodanza facilitators its also an opportunity to receive a refresh and be reconnected with Biodanza’s theory, origins and inspirations. And to support your own development and unfolding through the precious gift of vivencia.
Kate and Nenel will deliver the weekend together, collaborating to co-create a space of enriching vivencias and enlivening sharing.

Getting to the venue
We will encourage the group to help each other with car-sharing from Sydney and Canberra.
From Sydney

By car – Goulburn is a 2-hour drive from Sydney.

By train – trains leave at 12noon from Central station on Friday. (see transport info). If getting the train you need to arrive in Sydney by 11am to get a midday train, booked ahead

Flying – If flying we will help organise car-pooling for lifts or you can pre-book the train.
From Canberra

Flying – If you fly into Canberra we can arrange for car-pooling from Canberra to the venue or you can Uber, bus or hire a car from the airport. The airport is 10mins from the city centre. By car – Goulburn is a 1-hour drive from Canberra
About your facilitators
Nenel
Nenel has immense experience in Biodanza, a school director for 32 years, he has written numerous books, teaches extensions and has lived Biodanza since its early days in Brazil. He has also lived shamanism his whole life, growing up in a family of Candomble, one of the shamanic traditions in Brazil. It will be an honour and pleasure to host him in Australia.
Kate
Kate has been working as a dance and human movement teacher for 20 years and as a trainer of movement teachers for 8 years. She has worked with movement and dance with groups from executive teams in boardrooms in the Philippines to teenagers in social projects in South Africa. She believes in the power of dance to unlock our human potential for joy, creativity and expression and has seen this in hundreds of people over the years that she has worked with human movement.
I practice Biodanza and biocentric methods because they invite me to keep unfolding into deeper connections within and with others and life. Biocentrica is a way for me to keep learning, sharing and growing with people by putting life at the centre. I believe that this connection is essential if we are to care for each other and life on this planet together.

- In purchasing this product you recognise that while we take every care as facilitators, you are responsible for your care during the classes and that any injury is not the responsibility of the facilitator or Biocentrica.
- Refunds. We do not offer refunds. For exceptional circumstances, such as medical illness that fully prevents you from attending the workshop, please contact us.
- All payments made via this website have an added credit card fee to the advertised price. This fee is added to cover the cost incurred by the payment gateway Stripe. As of 22-Nov-2022 this fee is 1.8%.
- Other payment methods, e.g. via bank transfer, are also available on request but incur a fee of $10 to cover admin costs.
