Biodanza Brisbane – Chrysalis awakening
Thesis presentation and Biodanza session
Sunday 25 August
Join us for a special morning of Biodanza in Brisbane! Come and hear a fascinating presentation by Jenny Guevara – Biodanza: A gleam of light (a view on how technology impacts humans and how Biodanza can help). It is her thesis presentation for the final stage of her facilitator training.
This will be followed by a Biodanza session with Kate Clement visiting from Canberra. She will offer a session inspired by the eternal return – the movement humans and all forms of life make as we transition from stages of uncertainty and ‘messiness’ to

About Jenny and her thesis
A thesis is the final stage of a Biodanza facilitator journey of accreditation. After 3 years of feeling, dancing, moving and learning the presenter shares their deep exploration of a particular aspect or subject. Jenny has explored Biodanza: A gleam of light (a view on how technology impacts humans and how Biodanza can help).
Jenny is originally from Colombia. She moved to Australia in 2012 and discovered Biodanza in Sydney in 2014. After witnessing the positive impacts of Biodanza in her life she decided to become a facilitator. Jenny is passionate about dancing and believes in the importance of body movement and social connections to improve wellbeing.
About Kate and the Biodanza session she will offer
In this Biodanza session, Kate will invite us to dance the arising, the phoenix, the eternal return that happens every day when the sun rises. The impulse that the caterpillar feels to move out of formless
ness and into flight. This can awaken in us all when we welcome the rhythms that regulate our energy, vitality and way through the world.
Kate has worked as a dance and human movement facilitator for more than 20 years and as a trainer of Biodanza facilitators for 12 years. She has facilitated Biodanza with groups in many settings including executives in boardrooms to teenagers in social projects. Kate runs Biodanza groups in Canberra and trains and supervises Biodanza facilitators around Australia in the 3-year training program. She believes in the power of Biodanza to open our hearts and encourage our human potentials for generating positive possibilities together.
