✨ BIODANZA FRIDAY OPEN NIGHT ✨
with Irene Franco & José Neves, all the way from Portugal 🇵🇹
Friday 27 November · Gorman House, Canberra
We’re very excited to share this with you! For one special Friday night, two highly experienced Biodanza teachers from Portugal are joining us in Canberra, and everyone is invited to dance with them.
💛 MEET IRENE & JOSÉ
Irene Sofia Franco and José Neves are Biodanza didact teachers based in Oeiras, Portugal, and Directors of the Algarve Biodanza SRT School. They teach and train facilitators in 20 countries around the world.
Passionate about life, dance, music, nature, travel and art, they have immersed themselves deeply in many paths of human development. They have been a couple for almost 40 years and parents for 23, and that lived experience of love and connection shines through their work.
Their workshops explore relationships, including “The Field Between Us”, “Passion, Love and Intimacy” and “Biodanza for Couples”. They also explore Biodanza and neo-shamanism through “Light and Shadow”, “Ecstasy Laboratory”, “Dances of Ecstasy” and “The Prayer of the Body” (Biodanza, music, voice and percussion).
Irene helped create and build the Portuguese Association of Biodanza Facilitators, and José is a former President of the International Biodanza Federation. Away from the dance floor, Irene restores and paints antique furniture, and José draws and writes. He has published three books!
🌱 CELEBRATING JULIA
Before the dancing, we have the absolute delight of hearing from Julia Rasmussen, one of our homegrown Australian facilitators, as she comes to the fruition of her Biodanza journey. Julia will share her research and reflections on Biodanza, and we’ll celebrate this milestone together.
This is going to be a beautiful night of music, connection and joy. We’d love you to be part of it!
